49ers Football: The Impact on Town and Gown to Explore Newest Sport
“49ers Football: The Impact on Town and Gown” will explore UNC Charlotte’s newest sport, as part of theSports in the New South: Culture, Color and Cash lecture series presented by the Center for the Study of the New South in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
The Tuesday, August 27 panel discussion at UNC Charlotte Center City at 320 E. 9th Street begins at 7 p.m. It is part of a series of events that will explore various aspects of sports in the New South. Panelists are: Danny Morrison, President, Carolina Panthers; Philip L. Dubois, Chancellor, UNC Charlotte; Judith W. Rose, Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, UNC Charlotte; and Jeffrey B. Leak, Director, Center for the Study of the New South, UNC Charlotte. The moderator is Sonja Gantt, anchor and reporter for WCNC.
RSVPs will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at CLAS-Event@uncc.edu or 704-687-0082. Complimentary parking is available at 319 E. 9th Street and 422 E. 9th Street lots, across 9th Street and Brevard Street from the building. Attendants will direct guests.
